A collection of haikai renku (linked verse), compiled by Takamasa. Published in 1679 (Enpo 7). Contains 11 volumes of 100-verse and kasen poems by the editor himself, who calls himself "Hikai Sohonji," and his group of poets. His eccentric haiku style, such as "A handful of straws that seem suspicious to the eye, a firefly flies/Jiro Ma Jiro Yoshi, in the shade of summer grass/A white rain eaves, a corner of the hut, without a ball" (Takamasa's solo poem), which disguises the golden mean, drew the hatred of both the Teimon and Danrin schools, and led to a debate across the entire haiku world, such as "Hikai Ha Jaku Ken Sho."
