Japanese: 誹諧破邪顕正 - はいかいはじゃけんしょう

A treatise on haiku. Written by Zuiryu. Published in 1679 (Enpo 7). The style of Takamasa's Haiku in Tsune no Sugata was so eccentric that the editor criticized every line of the poem. It is based on the conservative Teimon view of haiku, which holds that haiku is an integral part of the art of waka poetry. Another student, Ichiyu, wrote Haja Kensho Taigo (1680), claiming to be in response to the criticism of Soin in Bun, but it was attacked both at home and abroad for its remarks that upset fellow haiku students. 俳諧論書。随流著。1679年(延宝7)刊。高政（たかまさ）編《俳諧中庸姿（つねのすがた）》の俳風があまりに奇矯であったため，編者独吟の一句一句に批判を加えた書。俳諧も歌道の一体であるという貞門の保守的俳諧観に終始する。文中の宗因への非難に答えるためと称し，同門の惟中（いちゆう）が《破邪顕正返答》(1680)を著したが，同門俳人の神経を逆なでする発言があったため，内外両派から攻撃された。【乾裕幸】
