New Chinese - Imaki no Ayahito

Japanese:
New Chinese - Imaki no Ayahito
A title given to some of the ancient naturalized people. Imaki means newcomer and can also be written as 今来. People who came to Japan in ancient times claiming to be of Chinese descent were generally called Han people (ayahito), but most of them lived on the Korean peninsula. Among them, those who lived until the latter half of the 5th century mainly brought with them the old Raku-ro culture originating from the Han and Wei dynasties, and became small clans of various professionals serving the imperial court with the arts and sciences of the continent, many of whom were organized under a single chain of command with the Yamato no Aya clan as Tomo no Miyatsuko during the reign of Emperor Yūryaku.
