This is an agricultural book written by Konishi Atsuyoshi (1767-1837) of Saho Village, Settsu Province (present-day Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture). The Konishi family was a village headman and is said to have been enthusiastic about agricultural instruction. Based on the belief that natural phenomena are governed by certain laws, he applied the theory of yin and yang and attempted to thoroughly discuss the principles of crop cultivation, fertilizer, weeding, and so on. The basic information was based on the author's own experiences, but the descriptions give the impression that theory was the only thing that came first. The book was completed around 1809 (Bunka 6), and was published in 1828 after being jointly supervised and revised by Hirata Atsutane and Atsumasa, father and son, and was widely read.
