Agricultural production is organic production based on the cultivation and raising of crops and livestock, and is greatly restricted by natural conditions (weather, soil, topography, altitude, etc.). Furthermore, many of the products, including fresh produce such as vegetables, fruits, and milk, are difficult to transport or store. In addition to these technical restrictions on shipping and distribution, the relative value of the products (price per unit volume) is lower than that of general industrial products, making it difficult to ship to long-distance markets due to the burden of freight charges.
