Japanese: 農業改良普及制度 - のうぎょうかいりょうふきゅうせいど

The Agricultural Improvement Promotion Law (promulgated in 1948) was established as a system for disseminating and guiding techniques and knowledge to farmers in order to improve agriculture and the lives of farmers. Due to the characteristics of agricultural management in Japan, it is important to improve both agricultural production and farm life in an integrated manner in order to promote agricultural development, and the system aims to identify technical issues that are necessary for this purpose and provide guidance and assistance while making use of farmers' autonomy. Since the system's launch, the content has changed in line with changes in social and agricultural conditions, but it has provided guidance to farmers and farmer groups in line with the basic issues of agricultural policy, fostering advanced models and spreading its results widely.

農業を改良し農家生活の改善を進めるため，農業者に対して技術･知識を普及指導する制度として，農業改良助長法(1948公布)に基づき創設された。日本の農業経営の特質から，農業の発展を図るには農業生産と農家生活の両面から一体的に改善していくことが重要であり，そのために必要とする技術課題をとり上げて，農業者の自主性を生かしながら指導援助していこうというものである。制度発足以来，社会情勢や農業事情の変化にともなって内容には変遷がみられるが，農政の基本的課題に即して農業者および農業者の集団を指導し，先進的モデルを育成しながら，その成果を広く波及させてきた。
