Nima [town] - Nima

Japanese: 仁摩[町] - にま

A former town in Nima District, central Shimane Prefecture. The San'in Main Line runs through the town. The main settlement is Nima, facing the Sea of Japan, and fishing and seafood processing are thriving here. Beef cattle are raised and shiitake mushrooms are cultivated. Kotogahama is known for its singing sand, has a sand museum, and is also famous as a swimming beach. It is home to Yuzako Onsen. In October 2005, it was incorporated into Yunotsu Town, Nima District, and Oda City. ^{31.59 km2} . 4,931 people (2003).
