Nishi-Rosen Agreement

A protocol signed in Tokyo on April 25, 1898 between Foreign Minister Nishi Tokujiro and Russian envoy RR Rosen. By this agreement, Russia recognized Japan's superiority in commerce and industry on the Korean Peninsula, but in exchange for the conclusion of this agreement, Japan tacitly accepted Russia's occupation of Port Arthur and Dalian. 1898年4月 25日東京において，西徳二郎外相と R.R.ローゼン，ロシア公使の間で調印された議定書。これによりロシアは朝鮮半島での商工業などにおける日本の優越を認めたが，この協定成立と引替えに，日本はロシアの旅順，大連占領を黙認した。
