A type of regenerated cellulose fiber. Also known as cupra or bembergrayon. It is obtained by dissolving refined cotton linters (short fibers remaining in seed cotton after the raw cotton is harvested) or wood pulp in an ammonia solution of copper oxide and spinning it in running water. It is easy to manufacture fine threads.
