Naru [town] - Naru

Japanese: 奈留[町] - なる

An old town occupying Naru Island and the surrounding small islands in the central part of the Goto Islands in Minami Matsuura District, Nagasaki Prefecture. The main settlement, Urago, is on Naru Island, and there is a regular ferry service between the island and Fukue. Coastal and offshore fishing and aquaculture of horse mackerel, mackerel, squid, yellowtail, and sea bream are thriving, and Goto dried squid is a specialty. In August 2004, it merged with Fukue City, Minami Matsuura District's Tomie Town, Tamanoura Town, Miiraku Town, and Kishuku Town to form Goto City. ^{25.26 km2} . 3,878 people (2003).

長崎県南松浦郡，五島列島中部の奈留島と周辺の小島を占める旧町。主集落の浦郷は奈留島にあり，福江との間に定期船が通じる。アジ，サバ，イカ，ブリ，タイなどの沿岸・沖合漁業，養殖が盛んで，五島するめを特産。2004年８月福江市，南松浦郡富江町，玉之浦町，三井楽町，岐宿町と合併し，五島市となる。25.26km²。3878人（2003）。
