Basidiomycetes, order Matsutake, family Atractylodes. Also known as Namesugitake (Namesugitake). In autumn, it grows in colonies on the dead trunks and stumps of broad-leaved trees such as beech. The cap is 2.5-10cm in diameter, hemispherical, and gradually widens and flattens. It has a stalk 0.1-0.6cm thick and 3-10cm long. The upper surface of the cap is brown in the center and yellowish brown around the edges. It becomes lighter in color over time. The edges are thin and initially bent inward, with a gelatinous membrane. The spore print is dark brown. It is easy to cultivate and delicious, and is also sold in cans and bottles. 担子菌類マツタケ目モエギタケ科。一名ナメスギタケ(滑杉茸)。秋に,ブナなどの広葉樹の枯れた幹や切り株上に群生する。傘は径 2.5~10cm,半球形,しだいに広がって扁平になる。太さ 0.1~0.6cm,長さ 3~10cmの柄をもつ。傘の上面,中央は茶褐色,周辺は黄褐色。日を経ると淡色になる。縁は薄く初め内屈して膠質の膜片がある。胞子紋は暗褐色。栽培しやすく,美味で,缶詰や瓶詰も市販される。
