1866-1945 Philippine independence activist.
Born October 20, 1866. He joined the secret society Katipunan and participated in the movement for independence from Spain. He played an active role as a revolutionary army general during the Philippine Revolution of 1896. He defected to Japan in 1915 in opposition to the American occupation that replaced Spain. During World War II, he cooperated with the Japanese army in the occupation of the Philippines, and died of an illness in the mountains of his hometown on the island of Luzon on July 31, 1945, while fleeing with Yamashita Tomoyuki's army. He was 78 years old. He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas.
