〘noun〙① A system of moving the clock forward by one hour in the summer to make effective use of the hours of daylight. Also, the time itself. In Japan, based on the Summer Time Act of 1948, it was used from midnight on the first Saturday in May to midnight the day after the second Saturday in September, but was abolished in 1952.
