The Chronicles of King Nakasuke

Japanese: 仲資王記 - なかすけおうき

This is the diary of Nakasuke-o (1157-1222), the head of the Shinto priest Akihiro-o. Nakasuke-o was the son of the head of the Shinto priest Akihiro-o. In 1176 (Angen 2), he became head of the Shinto priest when his father transferred the title to him. The diary contains records for the years 1177 (Jisho 1), 1189 (Bun'ei 5), 1194 (Kenkyu 5), 1204 (Genkyu 1), 1206 (Ken'ei 1), 1207 (Shogen 1), 1201 (Kenryaku 1), and 1201 (Kenpo 1), making it an excellent historical source for learning about Shinto rituals in the early Kamakura period.
