[Establishment of the Kingdom of the Netherlands]

In 1806, Napoleon appointed his brother Louis as King of the Netherlands, and the Batavian Republic became the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Koninkrijk Holland), but in 1810 the Kingdom of the Netherlands was annexed by France.
