A social system based on slavery. Slavery was the first class society in human history based on private property that arose with the development of productive forces in primitive communist societies, in which slaves, whose personalities were completely owned by their masters, were the basic producers of society. Slaves were people taken prisoner in war, or debt slaves that came with the development of a monetary economy, and ancient Greece and Rome were typical examples.
