...Colored planes, as independent elements, were developed into a new satellite plan between the Earth and the Moon in time and space under the name of "Economic Geometry" according to the economic principle of energy. In response to this, Lissitzky began planning "PROUN (Plan for the Establishment of the New)" in 1919, and Nikolai Mikhailovich Suetin (1897-1954) and Ilia Grigorievich Chashnik (1902-29) also produced Suprematist works. The term "Russian avant-garde" is sometimes used to refer to the avant-garde art movement before and after the revolution, including Suprematism and the Constructivism of the 1920s.
