Also written as "guwaraguwara" or " guharaguhara " in the past.) ① A word expressing a heavy, loud sound such as the sound of something falling or hard objects hitting each other. ※Gyokujinsho (1563), vol. 5, 4: "The water in the bath sways and sometimes sways as it falls." ※Nippo Jisho (1603-04), "Thunder is guaraguarato (guraguwarato) naru." ※Kiri Ichiyo (1894-95), Tsubouchi Shoyo, vol. 1: "The small blinds and sliding doors sway and sway, that must be an earthquake." ② A word expressing the sound of a sliding door opening and closing, or the sound of wheels turning. *Torahiro's Kyogen play, Hinosake (late Muromachi period - early modern period), "What a hateful guy.
