Goosebumps

Japanese:
Goosebumps

Also called goose skin. Hair grows at an angle to the surface of the skin, with the arrector pili muscle attached to the side where the hair and hair follicle make an obtuse angle, running diagonally toward the surface of the skin. Therefore, when the arrector pili muscle contracts, the hair stands up and a bump forms around the pore. At first glance, this state resembles the skin of a plucked bird, so it is called goosebumps, and when this happens, it is called goosebumps. This phenomenon is most common when exposed to cold, but can also be seen when someone is overcome by fear or discomfort and shudders.
