Pertusaria

Japanese: トリハダゴケ（英語表記）Pertusaria

This crusty lichen of the Pseudocarpa family grows closely on tree bark or rocks, and is found widely from lowlands to high mountains. The lichen body is very thin, and forms hemispherical pycnidia. The spores are large, colorless, and single-lobed, and are released from small holes in the pycnidia near the apex. Approximately 30 species are known in Japan, including P. flavicans Lamy, which spreads yellow on gravestones and stone walls, and P. subobductans Nyl., which grows on the bark of broad-leaved trees and has gray-green lichen bodies and knobby pycnidia.

樹皮や岩上に密着して生えるトリハダゴケ科の固着地衣で，低地から高山まで広く分布する。地衣体は非常に薄く，半球状の子器を形成し，胞子は大型で無色，単室で頂端近くの子器の小孔から放出される。墓石や石垣上に黄色く広がるモエギトリハダゴケP.flavicans Lamy，広葉樹の樹皮上に生じ，灰緑色の地衣体とこぶ状の子器をもつヒメコブトリハダゴケP.subobductans Nyl.など，日本に約30種類が知られている。
