Japanese: 挙身光 - きょしんこう

...Ikkou means one halo, and Sanzon means a three-body Buddhist statue with Nyorai as the central figure and two Bodhisattvas on either side. The shape of the halo is boat-shaped or a large lotus petal, and it is also called Kōshinkō. The origins of this Ikkou Sanzon style can be found in Buddhist statues from the Northern Wei period in China, but the most famous example in Japan is the Shaka Nyorai Triad and its halo, erected in 623 (the 31st year of the reign of Empress Suiko) and enshrined in the Golden Hall of Hōryū-ji Temple.

...The light of these Buddhas is said to emanate from the entire body of the Buddha, from the top of the head to the feet, and from each and every pore, but the light emanating from the white hair between the eyebrows and the chest is said to be the light center of the head and body. The names of the halo around the nape of the neck and the light of the raised body are already used in the sutras, and the halos of existing Buddha and Bodhisattva statues are also broadly divided into two types: the halo around the head and the halo of the body (Figure 1). The halo around the head is expressed in the form of a circle, which can also be seen in the statues of Shaka in Gandhara and Mathura in India, and is the oldest form of halo....
