Australian Gannet - Australian Gannet

...Of these, the Eastern gannet Sula bassana (illustration) breeds in the temperate North Atlantic. The other two species are the Cape gannet S. capensis off the coast of Africa and the Australian gannet S. serrator of Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand. They nest in large, dense colonies on the ledges and upper flats of islands.
