Japanese: 豊浦[町] - とようら

A former town in Toyoura County in western Yamaguchi Prefecture. It faces the Hibiki Nada Sea, and the inland area is made up of low hills. The main settlement is Sakae-cho, in front of Kawatana Onsen Station on the San-in Main Line, and Kawatana Onsen is located nearby. There are fishing settlements on the coast, including Murozu, Kogushi, and Yudama. In February 2005, it was incorporated into Shimonoseki City along with the towns of Kikugawa, Toyoda, and Toyokita in Toyoura County. ^{75.84 km2} . Population: 20,292 (2003).

The town's main business is rice cultivation, and it also engages in greenhouse horticulture and livestock farming. It is home to Tsukioka Onsen. It was incorporated into Shibata City in July 2003. Area: 35.95 ^km2 . Population: 9,870 (2000).

The coastal plain is narrow, but the hills produce potatoes, sugar beets, and beans. Scallops are also cultivated. The town suffered damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. Area: 233.57 ^km2 . Population: 4,528 (2010).
