The tune of thread

Japanese: 糸の調 - いとのしらべ
The tune of thread
Jiuta utahon. Among the utahon from Osaka after the Kyoho period (1716-36), this is the oldest published and the most representative, with many subsequent additions. It gradually grew thicker from a horizontal book format to a pillow book format. It began with the Kayaharaya edition published in 1751 (Kan'en 4), followed by a revised edition by Kikunaga Kengyo and others entitled "Shin Taisei Ito no Shirabe" in 1801 (Kyowa 1), and then a two-volume edition edited by Asano Takuzo in 1812 (Bunka 9). It is contrasted with the Kyoto-based "Ito no Fushi" series.
