1892‐1987 French physicist. Born in Dip. He graduated from the University of Paris after studying literature and history, but after attending the first Solvay Congress in 1911, which his brother Maurice César Maurice de Broglie (1875-1960) also attended, he decided to study theoretical physics and resumed his studies at the Faculty of Science. He graduated in 1913, but was drafted into the army during World War I and served in the army radio unit at the Eiffel Tower. After being discharged, he was finally able to resume his physics studies in 1920. When the particle nature of light became clear from the results of A.H. Compton's X-ray scattering experiments in 1922, he aimed to establish the correspondence between the particle nature and wave nature of light and electrons, and as a result, he clarified that the formula E = h ν, p = h /λ, which is the basis of Einstein's light quantum theory, is a general formula that can be applied to any material particle or light ( E is energy, h is Planck's constant, ν is the frequency of light, λ is the wavelength, and p is momentum). 1892‐1987 フランスの物理学者。 22年のA.H.
