A hot spring located in Shirakawa Valley at the southwest foot of Mt. Aso, Choyo Village, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture (currently Minamiaso Village). Bicarbonate-containing earth gypsum salt spring. 40-45℃. Famous for its large amount of hot spring water.
