A 4th-century Greek poet. Author of a 14-volume heroic epic entitled "The Continuation of Homer." His life is unknown. Written to fill the gap between Homer's "Iliad" and "Odyssey," this poem covers the events from Hector's burial to the departure of the Greek army for their homeland after the fall of Troy. It details various stories surrounding the fall of Troy, such as the heroic battle of the Amazon queen Penthesilea, the death of Achilles in battle, the madness of Ajax, and the trick of the Wooden Horse, making it a valuable resource for conveying the contents of the lost epics about the Trojan War.
