Toaster - toaster (English spelling)

Toaster - toaster (English spelling)

An electric toast toaster. There are various types, including the pop-up type, where the bread pops up when it is done toasting, the turnover type, where the bread is flipped over by opening and closing the side lid, and the walking type, which has an automatic feeder. The most commonly used pop-up type has two bread slots on the top, and three heating elements are attached to either side of the slots, allowing two slices of bread to be toasted simultaneously on both sides. This type generally works by setting the desired toasting level in advance with a dial, and when the desired toasting level is reached, an automatic device (either a timer or a bimetal system) causes the bread to pop up and the electrical circuit to turn off. It consumes around 600 to 800 watts of power. The types, performance, structure, and labeling are regulated by the JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards).

Toaster oven

As eating habits change, toaster ovens, which can be thought of as oven-type toasters, are rapidly becoming more popular. Compared to conventional toasters that could only toast sliced bread, toaster ovens are more versatile and can be used to make simple oven dishes such as pizza-style toast, which is made by toasting bread with cheese and other toppings, irregular breads (such as hamburgers), and gratin. The oven is box-shaped, with heating elements at the top and bottom, and a grill for the food to be cooked placed between them. They generally have a chime that notifies you when the food is done and a timer switch that turns off the power.
