Soil test

Soil test
In civil engineering, soil is not only the foundation for structures, but is also used as a material itself when building dams, roads, etc. For this reason, knowing the properties of soil is very important for the design and construction of structures, and tests conducted in laboratories on samples taken on-site to determine various soil properties are collectively called soil tests. The tests currently being conducted can be roughly categorized into simple discrimination tests, physical tests, chemical tests, strength tests, consolidation tests, permeability tests, compaction tests, etc.
