Gach Sārān Oil Field - Gach Sārān (English spelling)

Japanese: ガッチサーラーン油田 - ガッチサーラーンゆでん（英語表記）Gach Sārān

An oil field in southwestern Iran. At the foot of the Zagros Mountains, there is a long anticline running from northwest to southeast, and many large and small oil fields are distributed there, collectively known as the Khuzestan oil field group. Representative giant oil fields include Ahwaz (ultimate recoverable reserves of 15 billion barrels, 11th in the world), Mārūn (14.4 billion barrels, 14th), Ghatchisaran (15 billion barrels, 11th), and Āghā Jārī (14 billion barrels, 15th). The Ghatchisaran oil field was discovered in 1927, but production began 40 years later, with oil being transported to Kharg Island by pipeline.

イラン南西部にある油田。ザーグロス山脈の山麓部には北西～南東方向の長大な背斜系列が存在し，大小多数の油田が分布しており，フージスターン油田群と総称される。アフワーズ(究極可採埋蔵量150億バレル，世界第11位)，マールーンMārūn(144億バレル，14位)，ガッチサーラーン(150億バレル，11位)，アーガー･ジャーリーĀghā Jārī(140億バレル，15位)は代表的な巨大油田である。ガッチサーラーン油田は1927年に発見されたが，生産開始は40年で，パイプラインでカーグ島へ送油される。
