A type of insect in the Hemiptera family, Cimex. Commonly known as the bedbug. Body length 5mm, brown and flat. Wings are degenerate and nonexistent. Found worldwide, known as a blood-sucking insect. During the day, they hide in gaps in pillars, walls, furniture, etc. in houses, and become active at night to suck blood. 半翅(はんし)目トコジラミ科の昆虫の一種。俗称ナンキンムシ(南京虫)。体長5mm,褐色で扁平。翅は退化して,ない。全世界に分布し,吸血昆虫として知られる。昼間は人家内の柱,壁,家具などのすき間に潜み,夜間活動して吸血する。不完全変態,約1ヵ月半で成虫になる。
