Toho Gakuen School of Music

A private comprehensive school located in Chofu, Tokyo, offering everything from elementary school to university. It began in 1952 when a music department was established at Toho Gakuen Girls' High School. This was a successor to the "Music School for Children" opened by Iguchi Motonari and others for the purpose of early musical education. A junior college was established in 1955, and a university in 1961.
