〘noun〙① A monk who goes against the Buddhist path and precepts and does evil. A monk who breaks the precepts. ※Taiki - August 3, 1142, Koji 1: " Evil monks were summoned to Kan'gakuin, and one teacher was summoned from each ." ② A brave monk. A monk who excels in martial arts. A wild monk. Sometimes also called a warrior monk. A bad monk. A bad Zen monk. ※Heike (early 13th century) 2: "There was an evil monk named Yukei, an ajari at Kaijobo. He was about seven feet tall."
