From the end of the Edo period to the Meiji era, a unique landlord-tenant system was seen in Nozakihama on the Kojima Peninsula in Bizen (Moto Nozakihama was Ajino, Kojima, Kurashiki City, and Higashi Nozakihama was Yamada, Tamano City). In Nozakihama, there were three types of tenant farmers per shioto (front of one house), and each was granted a right, i.e. a right. One was the right of the direct producer, called the kakanin, one was the right of the landowner, and one was the right of the Nozaki family itself, given as a favor to relatives of the Nozaki family who were the landowners, or to those who had made distinguished contributions to the Nozaki family. If the right of each was 5, 4, and 1, and if a profit of 100 yen was made on the beach, it would be distributed according to the right as 50, 40, or 10 yen, and conversely, if a loss was incurred, it would be borne according to the right of the right.
