[Raw] Kanhwa 1 (326) [Death] Nagayasu 1 (396) The first king of Later Yan, one of the Five Barbarians and Sixteen Kingdoms in China (reigned 384-396). He was the fifth son of Murong Huang and the younger brother of Murong Jun. He was initially a general in Former Yan, but later defected to Former Qin. After Former Qin lost the Battle of Fei River, he declared himself independent in the first year of Yanyuan (384) and called himself King of Yan. This state is called Later Yan. In the first year of Jianxing (386), he called himself emperor, and ruled over Hebei, Shandong, north of the Huai River (→ Huai River), Liaodong, and Liaoxi.
