A species of insect in the Hymenoptera family, Mitidae family. Its body length is about 8 mm, with a black head and orange abdomen and thorax. There are black spots on the thorax. The wings are dark and translucent. It is found throughout Japan. The larvae are about 20 mm long and yellowish-white, and are known as pests that eat rose leaves. They pupate in shallow soil. They overwinter as pupae. Adults emerge two to three times a year. They are also commonly known as oriental rose wasps, including closely related species.
