A river in southeast England, United Kingdom. It originates in the Cotswold Hills in western England, flows eastward through Oxford, Reading, and London, and empties into the North Sea. Ocean-going ships can navigate it as far as the Tower of London Bridge. It is connected to central England by a canal.
