Saturn's moon. Discovered by G. Cassini in 1684. With a diameter of 1,120 km and a density of 1.4, it is thought to be made of rock and water. Exploration by Voyager 1 and 2 revealed that this moon also has many craters. Another moon, Dione B (1980S6), has also been discovered, which follows almost the same orbit as Dione.
