The name of a poetry gathering group that Shun'e (1113-?) of Rokujo Minamoto no Kami opened in his own monastic temple in Shirakawa. It was also called Waka Mandokoro, a private "poetry office." For about 20 years from around 1156, Minamoto no Yorimasa, Fujiwara no Takanobu, Kamo no Shigeyasu, Kamo no Chomei, Nijo-in Sanuki, and Fumon-in Daifu gathered. The group's core was apparently among monks and laypeople in the underground. In addition to holding regular monthly poetry gatherings, there were also frequent special poetry gatherings, such as farewell gatherings for congregations and "Hitomaro Kageku." → Related items Anonymous Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
