Japanese: 歌林苑 - かりんえん

The name of a poetry gathering group that Shun'e (1113-?) of Rokujo Minamoto no Kami opened in his own monastic temple in Shirakawa. It was also called Waka Mandokoro, a private "poetry office." For about 20 years from around 1156, Minamoto no Yorimasa, Fujiwara no Takanobu, Kamo no Shigeyasu, Kamo no Chomei, Nijo-in Sanuki, and Fumon-in Daifu gathered. The group's core was apparently among monks and laypeople in the underground. In addition to holding regular monthly poetry gatherings, there were also frequent special poetry gatherings, such as farewell gatherings for congregations and "Hitomaro Kageku."

六条源家の俊恵(しゅんえ)〔1113-？〕が自らの白川の僧坊に開いた歌会グループの称。民間の〈和歌所〉として〈和歌政所〉と呼ばれたこともあった。1156年ころから約20年間にわたり，源頼政，藤原隆信，賀茂重保，鴨長明，二条院讃岐，富門院大輔などが集った。会の中心は地下(じげ)の僧俗にあったらしい。毎月例会の歌会を開くほか，会衆の送別の会や〈人麻呂影供〉など臨時の歌会もしばしば持たれた。
