A former town in Takada County, central Hiroshima Prefecture. Located in the Kibi Plateau, the town was primarily involved in agriculture and forestry, but it is connected to Hiroshima City by National Route 54 and has recently been converted to suburban agriculture and industrialization. The number of people commuting to Hiroshima City is also increasing. In March 2004, it merged with the towns of Yoshida, Midori, Takamiya, Koda, and Mukaihara in Takada County to form Aki-Takata City. 50.60 km2 . Population: 4,158 (2003).

Yachiyo [town] [Yachiyo]

A former town in Taka District, central Hyogo Prefecture. It occupies the mountainous region of the Noma River basin, a tributary of the Kako River. In the southern part of the town, there are many textile factories that belong to the Banshu Textile Industrial Region, producing Banshu textiles. Rice, vegetables, shiitake mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, and timber are actively produced. In November 2005, it merged with Naka Town and Kami Town in Taka District to become Taka Town, Taka District. Area: 53.07 km2 . Population: 6,205 (2003).

Yachiyo [town] [Yachiyo]

A town in Yuki County in the southwest of Ibaraki Prefecture. It borders Shimotsuma City to the west across the Kinu River. Rice and fruit cultivation are thriving here. It is one of the prefecture's leading producers of Chinese cabbage and melons. National Route 125 runs through the center of the town from east to west. The town sustained damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. 58.99 km2 . 23,106 people (2010).

兵庫県中部,多可郡の旧町。加古川の支流野間川流域の山地を占める。南部には播州織物工業地域に属する織物工場が多く,播州織を産する。米,野菜,シイタケ,シメジ,木材の生産が盛ん。2005年11月,多可郡中町,加美町と合併し町制,多可郡多可町となる。53.07km2。6205人(2003)。

茨城県南西部,結城(ゆうき)郡の町。鬼怒(きぬ)川をはさんで下妻市の西に接する。稲作,果樹栽培が盛ん。ハクサイ,メロンの産は県内有数。町の中央部を国道125号線がほぼ東西に通じる。東日本大震災で,町内において被害が発生。58.99km2。2万3106人(2010)。
