Abbreviation for top/root ratio, it is the ratio of the weight of the above-ground part of a crop to the weight of the underground part. There are various types of crops, some of which use the above-ground parts and some of which use the underground parts, and in order to achieve good production, it is directly necessary to increase the ratio of these parts that are used, but at the same time, it is important to properly balance the growth of both. The T-R ratio is considered to be an effective indicator of the relationship between these two. The T-R ratio is affected by the environment. If there is less sunlight, the production of carbohydrates decreases and the growth of the underground parts is more restricted, and if the supply of soil moisture and nitrogen increases, the growth of the above-ground parts will be greater, so the T-R ratio will increase. top/root ratioの略で,作物の地上部重量と地下部重量との比率。
