…In 1532 (Tenbun 1), he began construction of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine in Kamakura (completed in 1540), and around this time he was appointed as Sakyo no Daibu (Junior Fifth Rank, Lower Grade) and took the elder sister of the regent Konoe Taneie as his second wife. In 1537, after fighting against Imagawa Yoshimoto in the so-called Kawagoe Rebellion, he captured Kawagoe Castle and almost completely conquered Musashi. In the first Battle of Konodai the following year, he defeated Ashikaga Yoshiaki and Satomi Yoshitaka. …
