A bucket. ※The Chronicles (720), Kamiyo no Shita (Kamo-sekki-kun), "Toyotamahime's attendant draws water with a jade urn."② A bucket lowered from the side of a boat to draw seawater to wash it. ※Comedy Book: Ukiyo-furo (1809-13), Mae, "What urn has this guy been caught in ? I don't know where the water is coming from, but bubbles are rising from the water."③ An abbreviation of "tsurube soba (fishing urn soba)." ※Zappai/Senryu Hyō Manku-Ago (1780), 6, "I'm going to fill my freshly made bedding with a fishing urn."④ ⇒ Tsurube (Ren)
