...Since then, it has been used as a bathroom perfume, floor spray perfume, and all-purpose perfume. After World War II, perfumes containing 7-13% perfume fragrance dissolved in alcohol were called perfume cologne (eau de toilette) and were sold commercially as something between perfume and eau de cologne. Furthermore, from around 1979, light colognes containing perfume fragrance dissolved in alcohol became popular.
