1893‐1970 Yugoslav literary figure. Born in Vojvodina. Studied in Vienna and Belgrade. Together with Andrić and others, he led the new literary movement after World War I, and his work "Ithaca Lyric Poems" (1920) became a monumental work. During and after the war, he was forced to live in exile in London where he worked, and returned to Japan in 1965. In 1962, he completed his first epic novel in 30 years, "The Emigrant," depicting the fate of the Serbian people, and in 1971 he published the long novel "London Story," in which he entrusts his lonely days to a Russian man.
