A shamisen player of Gidayubushi. Origin of the Tsurusawa family. There have been many masters in the lineage. (1) First generation (?-1749 (Kan'en 2)) Former name Sanni. First generation, played for Takemoto Masatayu II, Toyotake Chikuzen Shojo and others, and established the Seifu shamisen style. (2) Second generation (?-1804 (Bunka 1)) Former name Tsurusawa Bunzo. A genuine Takemotoza performer, he played the shamisen for the premieres of "Honcho Nijūshi Kō" and "Otome no Nyosen Teikin". (3) Third generation, latter name of first generation Tsurusawa Seishichi. (4) Fourth generation (?-1862 (Bunkyu 2)) Former name Denkichi II. Commonly known as Kagoshimaya. 義太夫節の三味線演奏者。鶴沢姓の祖。歴代名人が多い。(1)初世(?‐1749(寛延2)) 前名三二。初世,2世竹本政太夫,豊竹筑前少掾らを弾き,西風の三味線を確立。(2)2世(?‐1804(文化1)) 前名鶴沢文蔵。生粋の竹本座の演奏家で,《本朝廿四孝》《妹背山婦女庭訓》などの初演の三味線を弾いた。(3)3世 初世鶴沢清七の後名。(4)4世(?‐1862(文久2)) 前名2世伝吉。通称籠島屋。(5)5世(1815‐95∥文化12‐明治28) 前名3世伝吉。
