The following year, Terayama Shuji (1935-83) and others founded Tenjo Sajiki (officially called the Theatre Experiment Tenjo Sajiki), and in 1968, Ninagawa Yukio and others formed the Modern Theatre. The Theatre Center 68/69, a liaison organisation between the three theatre companies, was established in the same year, and the 68/70 black tent performances began in 1970. ...
