Tsushima Festival

Japanese: 津島祭 - つしままつり

〘Noun〙 A festival at Tsushima Shrine in Tsushima City, Aichi Prefecture. It is a Shinto ritual in which about 400 paper lanterns are hung on five Danjiri- bune boats carrying portable shrines, and the boats travel to the shrine from the opposite bank to play Tsushima flutes. It is held on the night of the fourth Saturday in July. Tsushima Tenno Festival. Tsushima River Festival.
