A glacial lake at the southern foot of the Alps in northern Italy, it is the largest lake in the country. Blessed with a mild climate, grapes and oranges are cultivated on the lakeside. It is also a tourist and health resort. It has an area of 370 km2 . The lake surface is 65 m above sea level and its maximum depth is 346 m.
