This hot spring is located in Oguni Town, at the northern tip of Kumamoto Prefecture. It is a weak saline spring. 80-100℃. It springs from the valley of the Tsuetate River, and is said to have been discovered in 771. Because of the high temperature, the steam is used for cooking.
